RI for drug peddler

CUTTACK: District Additional Sessions Judge Ghanashyam Panigrahy has sentenced a drug peddler Bichitra Mohan Sahu of the city to undergo 10 years rigorous imprisonment under the NDPS Act.

Sahu was arrested in December 2006 for possessing more than 25 kg of ganja.

The court also slapped a fine of Rs. 1 lakh on him.

In case of non-payment of the fine, he would have to undergo rigorous imprisonment of another one year, the court said.
