BANGALORE: The controversial Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project is likely to move forward again.

Chairman and Managing Director of Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise Ashok Kheny met Governor Rameshwar Thakur on Wednesday and requested him to implement the Supreme Court order directing the State Government to allow the company to complete the project work expeditiously.

Mr. Thakur, according to his Secretary Sharada Subramanyam, has referred the file to Advocate General Uday Holla for his opinion. She said the Governor had an open mind on the issue. He was keen that the vexed issue should be resolved within the parameters of law and in the interests of the people of the State. She said the Governor wanted the State Government and NICE to discuss the hurdles in implementing the apex court order.

Ms. Subramanyam said Mr. Thakur was likely to hold consultations with Chief Secretary Prahalad B. Mahishi on Friday.
