PCIPL relocates labs to Doddaballapur

BANGALORE: Pest Control of India Pvt. Ltd. (PCIPL), one of the largest pest management companies in India, relocated its Bio-control Research Laboratories (BCRL) to its new premises at Doddaballapur near here recently.

General Manager of the company K.P. Jayanth told presspersons who visited the facility on Thursday that BCRL, which was earlier located in Ludhiana, was the first commercial bio-control laboratory in the country with several innovations and standards of mass production of bio-control agents to its credit.

Set up in 1981, BCRL had developed several technologies and delivery mechanisms for various bio-control agents and lab-to-land transfer of these innovations had been speedy, Dr. Jayanth said.

The company’s product formulation and manufacturing (liquid and gas) units are equipped with state-of-the-art quality control, analysis and research and development facilities. BCRL is engaged in the propagation and production of various biological control agents and bio-pesticides and spearheads the company’s commitment towards environment-friendly pest management techniques.
