Protest meet

MUMBAI: Nearly 50 activists came together for a protest meet at Azad maidan to highlight the delay in the implementation of the Srikrishna Commission report on the 1992-93 communal riots.

M.R. Khan, president of the Lok Rajniti Manch, said, “After every riot in the country several commissions are formed and [their reports] never implemented. But this one is special because the governments have time again used this as an election issue and not kept their word.” The protesters discussed the possibilities for the riot victims.
