Coir exports expected to grow

KOCHI: The export of coir and coir products from the country is projected to touch Rs. 1,600 crore by 2011-12 at a combined annual growth rate of 22.5 per cent and the domestic market is projected to grow to Rs. 2,625 crore by the same period with a combined annual growth rate of 15 per cent, according to data released by the Coir Board.
