Thiruvananthapuram retains overall title

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thiruvananthapuram retained the overall title in the State Schools Aquatic meet which concluded at the Water Works Swimming Pool here on Thursday.

The host logged 388 points to finish way ahead of the second-placed Attingal (202). Aluva came third with 81 points.

Eight new meet records were set on the final day. Sports Hostel wards hogged the limelight by setting all the records.

Centralised Sports Hosel (Naniyode) won the water polo title edging out Thiruvananthapuram 13-12 in the final.
