Orchid net at Rs. 63 cr. in Q2

CHENNAI: Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals has reported a net profit after tax of Rs. 63.27 crore (including net gain on exceptional item of Rs. 11.30 crore) for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 against Rs. 29.45 crore in the same period in 2006-07. The company has achieved a turnover and operating income of Rs. 295.12 crore against Rs. 245.73 crore. — Corporate Reporter
