Sumit shines

NEW DELHI: Sumit Rana scored 80 to help Vidya Jain Cricket Academy defeat Sumit Dogra Academy by six wickets and qualify for the quarterfinals of the BDM Cup cricket tournament here.

The scores: Sumit Dogra Academy 173 for nine in 40 overs (Sumit Dogra 69 not out, Himanshu Rawat 45, Akash Chaudhary 34, Rohit Sharma three for 19, Vikas Mishra three for 22) lost to Vidya Jain CA 175 for four in 28.3 overs (Sumit Rana 80, Agnesh Surya 33, N.S. Negi 30 not out, Mohammed Abdullah three for 65).
