Centre of Excellence posts win

BANGALORE: Centre of Excellence crafted a 1-0 victory over South Western Raliway in the D.S. Murthy & V. Karunakaran memorial hockey tournament here on Thursday. Ramesh scored the winner in the 31st minute.

In another match, Corps of Military Police and Dhanraj Ballal Hockey Academy played out a 1-1 draw with Kamal Joro (31st) scoring for CMP and Naveen Kumar (31st) scoring the equaliser immediately.

MEG Boys ‘A’ beat Sports Authority of India ‘B’ 2-0 with Avinash (28th) and Rahul Kumar (32nd) scoring. Centre of Excellence, MEG Boys ‘A’ and SAI (C) qualified for the second phase which commences on Friday.
