SANGAREDDY: Telangana Rashtra Samithi legislators of the Council and the Legislature demanded interest free loans to those who returned to Telangana region from Gulf countries. In a press release here on Thursday MLC R. Satyanarayana, TRS state secretary T. Harish Rao, MLAs Padma Devender Reddy and S.Ramalinga Reddy wanted the State Government to provide at least one lakh to each one of the returnees and initiate legal action in the international courts of law on the countries that used the labour by extending their temporary Visas.
20,000 from Medak
The TRS alleged that the Government remained indifferent to the predicament of the returnees only because 90 per cent of them belonged to the Telangana region. They said that the moratorium announced by the Government on the loans taken by the victims would be of no use as most of the loans were raised from the nearest and not from any financial institutions. TRS also wanted the Government to pay for the return flight tickets of the 20,000 odd workers.
