TIRUPUR: The World Tamil Confederation will present an award, ‘Great Tamil of Wold’ to industrialist Pollachi N. Mahalingam for his contribution to education, industry and Tamil development at its conference here on October 28 (Sunday). President of the confederation P. Nedumaran said here on Thursday that the award would be presented to him at the special conference on Industry and Commerce of Tamils on the eve of fifth anniversary of the confederation. Vellore Institute of Technology chancellor G. Viswanathan will host the flag. Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam general secretary Vaiko and leaders of various political parties and social organisations and delegates from various countries would participate.
