Rashmi Dhar (9), was killed after the motorcycle on which she was travelling along with her parents was run over by a military truck at Ammuguda on Wednesday. Her parents escaped with minor injuries.
In another incident, an elderly man was killed after an unidentified vehicle hit him at Anand theatre in Secunderabad on Thursday. The victim has been identified as N. Purnachander Rao (75), a retired employee and resident of Vengalrao Nagar.
Two succumb to burns
N. Shakuntala, 55, and her son Venkataiah, 21, succumbed to burns at the Osmania General Hospital on Thursday. Venkataiah reportedly set his mother Shakuntala ablaze after she refused to give him Rs. 5,000 on Monday. Then he attempted suicide by immolating himself at his residence at Charmahal in Charminar.
