Chennai: The CPI(M) has condemned the AIADMK for its alleged attempts to derail the proceedings of the State Assembly by raking up the issue of security to former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. The current session had been curtailed to just four days and should be used to discuss issues such as the Sethusamudhram project, uniform education, the proposal for setting up a titanium di oxide plant in Tirunelveli, land and patta issues, CPI(M) state secretary, N. Varadarajan, said in a statement here on Thursday.
The AIADMK MLAs were behaving in an undemocratic manner, the CPI(M) said and appealed to the Speaker to extend the session by a few days to make up for lost time.
