NEW DELHI: Zorawar Singh Sandhu shot 114 out of 125 and finished eighth in the trap event of the World Cup finals in shotgun at Belgrade on Thursday.
Zorawar, one of the two Indian shotgun marksmen to win a medal in a World Cup this season, along with double trap specialist Ronjan Sodhi, had a series of 24, 23, 24, 22 and 21. His below par lost round cost him a place in the final as he missed it by one point.
World champion Manavjit Singh Sandhu could not find a place in the competition as the champions from the shotgun World championship held this year were given the entry for the season-ending championship, rather than those who had won it in the four-year cycle last year.
