VIZIANAGARAM: Minister for Housing Botsa Satyanarayana on Friday inaugurated the newly widened road between District Cooperative Central Bank and Ambati Choultry.
Speaking on the occasion, he recalled the tragic incidents occurred during the widening work and said despite hurdles created by TDP leaders the work was completed as per the schedule.
The minister said tenders for widening the road between Clock Tower and Nehru Park and central lighting would be called in a couple of days.
He said that TTD had decided to offer silk clothes every year to Sri Pydimamba during the annual jatara.
As part of organising cultural programmes ‘Tholellu’ and ‘Sirimanotsavam’ on October 22 and October 23 respectively, the minister said that about 100 Surabhi troupe members would give stage performances at the fort junction.
