Essay competition winners

Thiruvananthapuram: A.C. Anjana of the National Institute of English, Neyyattinkara won the first prize in the essay competition organised by the KPCC(I) as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of the first freedom struggle. The topic was ‘Adyakala videsha adhipathya virudha porattangal.’ N. Divya of the Kerala University Institute of English won the second prize and Nandu R. Krishnan, an Economics student at NSS College, Pandalam, secured the third place. Arun Baby of the Santhigiri Sidha Medical College and V.M. Jabir Ahamed of Al Jama Al Islamia College, Malappuram, were selected for the consolation prizes. The first, second and third prize winners will get cash prizes of Rs.5000, Rs.3000 and Rs.1000 respectively. — Special Correspondent
