MALAPPURAM: Officials of the Calicut International Airport at Karipur will celebrate World Air Traffic Controllers Day on Saturday. The birth of the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers Associations (IFATCA) 46 years ago on October 20 in the Netherlands is being celebrated the world over as the day of the air traffic controllers in recognition of the services rendered by the vast air traffic industry. SeminarA seminar on ‘improving ATC procedures’ and an interactive session between air traffic controllers and airline pilots will be organised as part of the celebrations at Karipur. The Air Traffic Controllers Guild India will spearhead the celebrations throughout the country.
