Thai Airways asked to pay damages

New Delhi: The Delhi Consumer Commission has asked Thai Airways to pay Rs.2 lakh as damages to senior advocate R. K. Anand on account of loss of valuable articles from his baggage during a flight eight years ago.

“Failure of the airline not to hand over the booked luggage in its intact position or without any pilferage amounts to deficiency in service,” the Commission presided over by Justice J. D. Kapoor said in its order.
