Geeta Reddy denies TRS charge on review meetings

Staff Reporter

Sangareddy: Minister for Major Industries J. Geeta Reddy denied allegations of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti that all the Cabinet ministers from the district have been conducting review meetings at the comfort of their offices in Secretariat.

Speaking to reporters on Friday at the Vanadurga Bhavani temple in Nagsanpalli, the Minister said that all the legislators, irrespective of political affiliation, have been informed about such meetings. The TRS legislators recently alleged that the Ministers Geeta Reddy, Damodar Rajnarsimha and Fariduddin were calling the officials to the Secretariat and later issuing press notes about the outcome. They pointed out that the Ministers were doing this to escape scrutiny from the Opposition. The demand for an immediate District Development Review Committee meeting is picking up momentum as there was no such effort after Ponnala Laxmaiah took charge as district in-charge.

Temple development

Elaborating on the development of Edupayala temple, the Minister announced that seven cottages in the name of Sapta Rishis would be taken up at a cost of Rs. 1.5 crore.
