This Day That Age
The Conference of Kerala and Madras Ministers which discussed the utilisation of river waters in Kerala decided to refer the matter to the engineers of both States for a more intensive study both as to the assessment of water resources and the reasonable requirements and utilisation thereof. A joint statement issued after the conclusion of the discussions on October 19 said, “On receipt of their report the Conference would meet again about a month hence. Representatives of both States felt that “it would be most advantageous to reach agreed solutions rather than rely upon arbitration by a third party.”
