Tough challenge for Indians

GURGAON: The tall Iranian women present a menacing challenge for their Indian counterparts as the teams gear up for their AFC women’s Asia Cup 2008 qualification round match at the Devi Lal Sports complex here on Saturday.

The Iranians, who will wear specially made head gear, long sleeves and trousers, have been trained by Zhou Xinfeng of China. Back home, the Iranians compete in a 20-member league even though the team has not been accorded any international ranking. The Indians are ranked 55.

The kick off is at 3 p.m. — Special Correspondent
