VISAKHAPATNAM: R.V. Gomes and Rohan Prem helped Kerala stage a splendid fight back against Karnataka in its second innings in the round-robin match of the South Zone under-22 (C.K. Nayudu Trophy) tournament at the Ukku Stadium here on Friday.
The scores: Karnataka 324 in 110 overs vs. Kerala 120 and 271 for three in 84 overs (R.V. Gomes 95 batting, Rohan Prem 59 batting, Abhisheik Hegde 41, C. Rizwan 36).
Andhra 259 and 59 in 22.3 overs (V. Yomahesh four for 23, R. Ashwin three wickets for eight runs) lost to Tamil Nadu 256 in 90.4 overs (R. Srinivasan 72, W. Victor 52, R. Ashwin 42, P. Vijay Kumar five for 67) and 63 for two in nine overs.
Hyderabad 426 bt Goa 150 and 248 in 90.1 overs (A. Desai 81, Ilyas Naru 56, M. Gupta 36, Ashwin Yadav five for 51, Lalith Mohan four for 38).
