Two held on dacoity charge

NEW DELHI: Two brothers have been arrested in connection with a dacoity at Vivek Vihar here in September.

Durga Prasad Dubey of Jwala Nagar had lodged a complaint with the police saying six men took his family hostage at gun-point in the early hours of September 28 and decamped with cash, jewellery and valuables worth several thousand rupees.

On Thursday, the police received a tip-off that a local resident, Arun, was involved in the dacoity and he was subsequently arrested at Faridabad in Haryana.

At his instance, his brother Sunil was later arrested in Shahdara.
