RTC signs MoU with UMTC

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) on Friday entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Urban Mass Transit Company Limited (UMTC), a joint venture of the Ministry of Urban Development, Centre and State and Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services.

RTC Executive Director A. Nageswara Rao in a press release said that under the MoU the corporation and UMTC would take up conceptualisation of various projects and awarded them under the public private partnership model, besides taking steps to access funds from the Government. The MoU was signed by T. Krishnaprasad, Director, Vigilance and Security on behalf of the APSRTC and Umesh Soni, Director, UMTC in the presence of APSRTC Managing Director V. Dinesh Reddy.
