Man files cheating case against in-laws

HYDERABAD: In a strange case, a person approached the police complaining that his in-laws cheated him by performing his marriage with a eunuch by claiming the latter was a woman. The Chandrayangutta police, who registered a cheating case based on the complaint filed by the real estate businessman Arif of Bangalore, said his wife was being sent for medical examination.

Arif’s marriage was performed with a ‘woman’ hailing from Golconda on Thursday. A day after the marriage, he approached the police complaining that his wife was a eunuch and not female. “He filed a written complaint following which we registered a cheating case against the bride’s family members,” Chandrayangutta Inspector Fayaz said.

Arif’s mother hails from the city. The alliance of the Hyderabadi woman was fixed through Arif’s distant relatives living here.
