AICC yet to decide on BJP rebels

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has not yet taken a decision on the BJP rebels in Gujarat, led by former Chief Minister Suresh Mehta, though talks were on.

The party has decided to make “Chak de Congress” as one of its slogans to catch the imagination of the youth in the State.

It has decided to hire taxis for use at district levels to adhere to the Election Commission’s code on election spending.

About 60 vehicles have been hired for use for two months.

The party struck upon this novel idea after the 60-odd cars it had bought for Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections were not returned to the party in full by workers.

Only 34 cars came back to the AICC.
