dated October 22, 1957: Gandak Project

Preliminary talks between India and Nepal on an agreement for the construction of a half mile long dam across the river Gandak under the Rs 500 million Gandak irrigation project of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh concluded in Kathmandu on October 18, with “satisfactory results”.
