Azamgarh: Two brothers were shot dead and two others injured in a clash between rival groups over a land dispute at Rudari village in the district on Sunday. A group led by the village head allegedly opened fire killing Talukdar Singh, headmaster of a primary school, and his brother Parasnath, district police chief Prakash Tripathi said. Two others were injured and had been referred to Varanasi where their condition was stated to be critical, he said. A dispute over land was stated to be the reason behind the clash, Mr. Tripathi said, adding that a case had been registered and efforts were on to nab the culprits.
