Workshop on street children at Colva from Wednesday

PANAJI: Organisations working towards the cause of street children will discuss and deliberate on strategies to address the issue of street children at a two-day workshop organised by Terre des Hommes, Germany, at Colva in south Goa from October 24.

The workshop will bring together organisations and individuals working with street children in the south western region to study, examine and analyse new trends relating to “street children” and formulate strategies to support them. Terre des Hommes is an organisation working with non-governmental organisations on child rights issues in partnership with individuals and other organisations concerned. It has been supporting groups and organisations working with street children.
