Chathiram residents stage road blockade

CUDDALORE: Residents of Chathiram near Panruti blocked traffic for about three hours on Sunday demanding regular water supply.

They alleged that the village has not been receiving water for the past few months and all representations to the panchayat chief have been futile. Following an assurance from officials, including Block Development Officer Bhaskaran, that water supply would resume in two days, the people gave up the stir.
