Special bonus for paddy

Kakinada: Special bonus of Rs.50 per quintal of paddy and Rs.40 per quintal of pulses would be paid to the ryots over and above the minimum support price, according to G.S.R.K.R. Vijayakumar, Joint Collector.

After adding the bonus, he said, the minimum support price for paddy -common variety was Rs.695 per quintal and in case of A- grade variety Rs.725 per quintal.

Similarly, it was Rs.1,590 per quintal of red gram. He advised the ryots to complain to District supply officer if any rice miller or trader refuses to pay the above support price, for initiating action against them.
