HYDERABAD: There wasn’t much to write home about India’s performances on Saturday in the Military World Games shooting competitions held at the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP), Gachibowli and Lake Line ranges. Vijay Kumar, India’s brightest medal hope, finished 16th in the 25m military rapid fire event. China’s domination of the discipline continued even on the concluding day, its crack-shots claiming two gold and a silver. The results (all individual): Men: 25m military rapid fire: 1. Liu Yadong (Chi) 588; 2. Yusuf Dikec (Tur) 587; 3. Alexey Klimov (Rus) 586; 300m military rapid fire: 1. Wear Hans Kristian (Nor) 571; 2. Nikita Antonov (Rus) 564; 3. Florian Kammerlander (Austria) 563. Women: 50m rifle 3 position: 1. Xiangyan Wan (Chi) 588; 2. Yi Jiao (Chi) 587; 3. Eva Friedel (Chi) 587; 25m military rapid fire: 1. Galina Belyaeva (Rus) 585; 2. Irina Dolgacheva (Rus) 584; 3. Zhanna Shapialevich 581.
