Anand to be felicitated

CHENNAI: The newly-crowned World chess champion Viswanathan Anand will be felicitated by the members of All-India Chess Federation at a function to be held here on Monday.

Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifah Al-nehyan, President, Asian Chess Federation and the former Indian cricket team captain Rahul Dravid will be the guests of honour.

Mani Shankar Aiyar, Union Minister for Panchyati Raj, Youth Affairs and Sports and Development of North Eastern Region, who was scheduled to attend the function as the chief guest, has expressed his inability to come, due to indisposition.
