Seminar on solid waste management

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The National Institute for Inter-disciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST) and the Hiyoshi Corporation, Japan, are jointly organising a seminar on ‘Solid waste management and dioxin emission control’ at the institute inPappanamcode, near here, on Monday.

The seminar will address various issues related to solid waste management, incineration, formation and control of dioxins. The seminar will provide learning opportunity as well as a venue for exchange of ideas among the delegates.

The officials of Hiyoshi will share their experience and expertise in the analysis of dioxins and polychlorinated biphenyls in fuel gas, solid wastes and food stuffs.

The seminar will begin at 9.45 a.m.
