Held for possessing cop’s pistol

NEW DELHI: A 53-year-old man has been arrested by the North Delhi police on charges of possessing a service pistol of an Uttarakhand police officer.

Devender was arrested at Kashmere Gate on Saturday. During interrogation, he purportedly disclosed that he had bought from the pistol and two live cartridges from a person who had stolen it along with some cash and other articles from the handbag of the police officer at the Old Delhi railway station in January.

The police said Devender was earlier involved in some criminal cases.
