Meeting on road accidents

NEW DELHI: A high-level meeting was convened by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit at her residence here on Sunday to discuss the issue of increasing number of road accidents involving Blueline buses. At the meeting, which was attended by Transport Minister, Chief Secretary, Transport Commissioner and a 10-member delegation of bus operators, Ms. Dikshit recalled that at an earlier meeting the bus operators had promised to come up with a code of conduct for the drivers. The Chief Minister asked the operators to come up with the code of conduct within a week and Government and the operators would the sign a MoU in this regard.
