BIDAR: In recognition of his services, Shivayya Swamy Kamthana, a resident of the district, has been selected for the State Youth award for the year 2005-06, by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Bangalore. A release here on Sunday said that Shivayya Swamy is among the ten selected for the award from various districts of the State. The release said that awardees will get a cash prize of Rs. 10,000, a memento and a shawl. The award will be distributed at a function on October 26 at Bangalore. — Staff Correspondent
