KOZHIKODE: The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) will conduct a youth rally at Thiruvambadi here on October 23 as part of its campaign to dispel doubts among the public on the controversy pertaining to CPI(M) leader Mathai Chacko. The row stems from the reported statement of the Tamarassery diocese that Mathai Chacko had been given the last sacrament before his death and that he was a believer. At a press conference here on Monday DYFI district leaders said more than 25,000 people will participate in the ‘Yuvajana Mahasangamam’. The organisers said the convention would bring out the truth and remove misconceptions circulated about Mathai Chacko.
