KANNUR: The Jimmy George Award, instituted by the Jimmy George Foundation for the best sportsperson in the State, will be given to boxing champion Johnson Varghese. Foundation managing trustee Sebastian Geroge informed here on Monday that the award would comprise a cash prize of Rs.10,000 and citation. The award would be presented at Peravur here on December 1.
