Governor for status quo at Datta Peeta

Special Correspondent

Bangalore: Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur said that “status quo” will be maintained at the Bababudangiri shrine in Chikamagalur district and “complete peace and harmony would be maintained at all costs”.

“This is in the best interest of the State,” he said. He was speaking to presspersons on the sidelights of a seminar organised by the International Labour Organisation, in response to a question on the proposed Datta Mala Abhiyan and Shobha Yatra by Sangh Parivar outfits.

Mr. Thakur said flood situation was “a matter of top priority” and he would be discussing it at a meeting with the Home Minister during his visit to Delhi.
