Houses of Abu Salem’s brother raided

Lucknow: Police on Monday raided three houses owned by underworld don Abu Salem’s brother Abu Jaish in the city following complaints of land grabbing and detained six people for questioning.

Jaish was not present when a police team searched his two apartments and a house in the Ashiana area, police sources said. Several complaints of land grabbing against the don’s brother had been received by the police.

The police were in touch with their counterparts in Azamgarh district, Jaish’s native place, to ascertain if he was wanted in any case there. — PTI
