BANGALORE: Karnataka State Police scored a 4-1 win over Madras Engineering Group ‘A’ in the third phase of the D.S. Murthy & V. Karunkaran memorial hockey tournament here on Monday.

Lakshman Rao (11th, 13th & 29th) notched up a hat-trick and Roshan Madappa (69th) netted the fourth goal for the winner. Arun Kumar (25th) scored for the loser.

In another fixture, Canara Bank and Sports Authority of India ‘C’ played a draw sharing six goals. Ronald Kiran (11th and 53rd) and Appanna (6th) were successful for Canara Bank, while Biju (28th & 52nd) and Poonacha (46th) converted for SAI ‘C’.
