ANANTAPUR: Former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda had visited Puttaparthi on Sunday. He had participated in a ‘saptah yagam’ and taken the blessings of Satya Saibaba before flying back to Bangalore by a special aircraft. Mr. Gowda drove straight to the Purnachandra auditorium in Prashanti Nilayam soon after his arrival from Bangalore, participated in the yagnam for a some time and met Saibaba. Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi also visited Puttaparthi town on Saturday. He arrived by special aircraft from Ahmedabad in the morning, participated in yagnam and sought the blessings of Saibaba, in the wake of the Gujarat Assembly elections next month. Meanwhile, Saibaba blessed the people on the occasion of Dasara festival . –Staff Reporter
