Centres for women planned

NEW DELHI: A delegation of “Stree Shakti -- The Parallel Force” called on President Pratibha Patil at Rashtrapati Bhavan here recently seeking her support for various ongoing and planned projects.

The organisation aims to develop a chain of centres for women at the district level. “These centres will strive to achieve social, economic, political and educational opportunities for women at the grassroots level,” said Stree Shakti president Chitra Mudgal.
