Congress panel to look into ‘political vendetta’

Chandigarh: The opposition Congress in Punjab has set up a committee to look into grievances of party workers and leaders particularly in connection with “political vendetta” by the Shiromani Akali Dal-BJP Government.

The State Grievances Co-ordination Committee constituted by PCC chief Rajinder Kaur Bhattal would be headed by party working president Mohinder Singh Kapyee and Col C D Singh Kamboj as its convener and include MPs Preneet Kaur and Rana Gurjit Singh Bedi as members, a PCC spokesman said here.

He said it had been given the mandate to screen genuine grievances of party workers submitted through district level committees and would take up the matter for redressal at different levels, including with the State Governor.

Victimisation

“It will also expose the SAD-BJP Government’s misdeeds relating to political victimisation,” he added.- PTI
