One killed, five injured in accident

Thiruvananthapuram: A 35-year-old woman was killed and five others were injured when the car they were travelling in overturned on M.C. Road, at Keezhayikonam junction, near Venjaramoodu, on Sunday night. The police said the deceased was identified as Simi Philip of Konni. Her husband, Philip, 39; the couple’s children, Sinu, 6, and Sanu, 2; Simi’s father, Thomas, 65; and the car driver, Aneesh, 23, were injured. The accident occurred when the family was on its way to the airport to fly to Sharjah.
