New Delhi: A court here on Monday sent a man, accused of murdering and kidnapping a businessman’s son and demanding Rs 1.5 crore for release of child to 14 days judicial custody.
Metropolitan Magistrate Amit Bansal remanded Siddharth Jaitley (26), who had allegedly murdered his friend’s son Vipul in Rohini here on October 15, to judicial custody till November 5.
Jaitley, arrested on October 17, was produced after five days police custody before the court. According to the prosecution, Jaitley knew Parminder Kanshal, whose son was abducted from near Goenka Public School in Rohini. Kanshal had even paid him Rs 33 lakh for the safe release of the boy. However, when the child did not return, police raided the residence of Jaitley, arrested him and recovered the car and the money.
