Use of Telugu: complaint against 29 officials

HYDERABAD: A petition has been filed by the associate editor of a Telugu monthly in the Andhra Pradesh Lok Ayukta seeking action against 29 top Government officials for not implementing Telugu in their day-to-day administrative work.

The complaint was sent by the Lok Ayukta’s office to the AP Official Language Commission on Monday, according to A.B.K.Prasad, chairman.

He said in a press release later that the 29 officials included those belonging to IAS, collectors, directors and Information department personnel. The petitioner wanted the Government to take action against the officials after ordering a comprehensive enquiry.
