Zoom Kids is a programme dedicated to educating pre-school children with fun classes that combine visual aids, poetry, interactive dialogue and music. The Zoom Kids pre-school, functioning at Venkateshapuram in Puthur in the town has programmes designed to enhance a child’s ability to learn fundamentals and essential concepts in a creative environment, while promoting a love for learning. The school teaches fundamental and education concepts that stimulate creativity and self-expression and encourages sharing and leadership qualities. The programme improves rhythm, motor skills, balance and coordination. These are aimed at giving children a head-start in life, said Maithreyi who is behind this unique pre-school programme. She said that the school had state-of-the-art facilities and the equipment here was based on US curriculum. It has a Bits ‘n’ Bytes (Media Centre), Bratz ‘n’ Books (Library), Tod Theatre (Dramatic Play), Digital Zoomers (Video Centre), Swim ‘n’ Splash (Water Play), Music ‘n’ Movement, Zooming Artists (Paint Play) and Brain Box (Science). Maithreyi started her teaching career with Padma Seshadri School in Chennai, where she focused on nurturing pre-schoolers.
