T.V. Chandran’s new film

At around 9 o’ clock at Hotel Maharani in Kozhikode on Monday morning, heads turned when Suhasini walked in for the switch-on ceremony of director T.V. Chandran’s new film Vilapangalkappuram.

Suhashini, one of the stars of the film, smiled at her acquaintances and seemed pleased to meet M.T. Vasudevan Nair, the chief guest, with whom she had a small chat.

Writer U.A. Khader and some members of the cast, Kozhikode Shantha Devi, Sudheesh, Zeenath and Priyanka Nair, the film’s heroine, were also there at the well-attended function. Shortly after the ceremony was over, the shooting of the film got under way, at a private hospital in Kozhikode.

Vilapangalkappuram, produced by Aryadan Shoukath, who has also written the story, will be filmed in and around Kozhikode and Wayanad. The film also stars the well-known actors Biju Menon, Thilakan, M.R. Gopakumar and Praveena.
